It detects over 600 bots in 23 categories and verifies good ones like search crawlers by IP and reverse DNS. Rate limiting and the Shield WAF count as the same request. The SDKs cover Next.js, Node.js, Bun, Deno, Python, Go and more, and the JavaScript SDK is Apache-2.0. It now also offers protections for AI agents: PII detection, prompt injection and tool guards.
